1 arrested in Nashua, 2 in Manchester, 2 charged in Hollis, workplace tragedy

In today’s edition we cover a tragic workplace accident in Nashua, an arrest made in connection to a 2016 crime, a shooting incident in Manchester resulting in two arrests, and a couple being charged after hosting an underage alcohol party in Hollis.

1 arrested in Nashua…

The Nashua Police Department has arrested James Tsoumbanikas, 37, of Dracut, Massachusetts, on a warrant for felony receiving stolen property.

Tsoumbanikas was accused of selling stolen items at Trade Land, located on Daniel Webster Highway, according to a report from the Lowell Police Department received by Nashua detectives on September 27, 2016.

The detectives identified Tsoumbanikas as the person responsible for the sale, and a warrant for his arrest was granted after reviewing his criminal record, which showed two prior theft-related convictions.

Tsoumbanikas was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on June 15.

2 arrested in Manchester…

Two men were arrested in connection with a shooting that injured four people in Manchester on Saturday.

The incident took place at a large party near Ahern and O’Malley Streets.

Police say the suspects were wearing their hoods up and their faces were partially covered.

At least one started firing a gun and four young adults were hit.

All suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

After the shooting, the pair was seen leaving the area in a white SUV, which has since been identified and located.

Police say 21-year-old Emmanuel Sayle and 20-year-old Griffin O’Neil, both of Manchester, were arrested in relation to this incident.

Sayle was charged with 4 counts of felony reckless conduct, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and also has a parole hold.

O’Neil was charged with felony criminal liability to reckless conduct, 2 counts of convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and also has a parole hold.

Police are still working to identify a third person.

2 charged in Hollis…

A couple from Hollis has been charged with facilitating an underage alcohol house party that resulted in two minors being taken to hospitals.

Hollis police and EMS responded to the scene on Eastman Lane on Saturday night around 11:50 p.m. for a report of a juvenile with a head laceration.

Upon arrival, police say they noticed “an overwhelming amount of evidence that minors were in possession of, and consuming alcohol.”

Two juveniles were transported to local hospitals, treated, and released.

All other minors at the scene were released into the custody of their parents or guardians.

Christopher Getter, 50, of Hollis, was arrested and charged with facilitating the house party.

Lisa Getter, 49, was also charged with the same offense and released on a summons to appear in court.

The incident remains under investigation, and more charges are possible.

Workplace tragedy in Nashua…

The Nashua Police Department is investigating a workplace accident that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old landscaper.

The incident occurred on May 15, while a landscaping company was trimming trees in the area of Conant Road.

Amilcar Lopez-Garcia of Leo’s Landscaping was fatally injured.

Detectives were notified and are currently investigating the matter.

WMUR reported that crew members stated that he had been cutting branches on a tree around 12:30 p.m.

They say he may have hit power lines on the way down.

This is at least the third tree-related death this year.
